Personal identification information
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users user our service, register with the service, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available through our Service. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Service related activities.
Non-personal Identification Information
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Service. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer or device, and technical information about Users means of connection to our Service, such as the operating system, network, location and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.
Comments, Shares, and other Public Information: Our Services are designed to help users share information with the world. Most of the information users provide is information they are asking us to make public. This includes not only the messages you attach to comments and the metadata provided with those comments, such as when you commented, but also the content you commented on, the people you responded to, the comments you mark as favorites or share to third-party sites and many other bits of information. The default is almost always to make the information users provide public but we generally give partners the option to sign up for “Closed Networks” to make the information more private if the partners want. Users should confirm the privacy of networks from their content providers. Content providers, particularly in private networks, may have administrators to moderate comments and responses made by users of said network. In short, user public information is broadly and instantly disseminated. For example, public comments may be pulled into many books worldwide immediately and may be delivered via our API to a wide range of users and services. ReadSocial is a service designed to be social by nature. What users say may be viewed all around the world instantly.
Log Data: Our servers automatically record information ("Log Data") created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, the referring domain, pages visited, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs, and search terms. Other actions, such as interactions with our website, applications and advertisements, may also be included in Log Data. If we haven’t already deleted the Log Data earlier, we will either delete it or remove any common account identifiers, such as your username, full IP address, or email address frequently.
Links: ReadSocial may keep track of how you interact with links, images and videos across the Services including third party services and clients by redirecting clicks or through other means. This is done to help improve ReadSocial, and to be able to share aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked on or added.
Third Party Services: ReadSocial uses a variety of services hosted by third parties to help provide our Services, such as hosting our various blogs and wikis, and to help us understand the use of our Services, such as Google Analytics. These services may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, such as cookies or your IP request.
